Freshening up an outdoor bench seat

Project #2 - This is an outdoor timber bench which in the past has been exposed to the weather.  The cushion has suffered as a result and did not look very nice.

I bought some fabric and made a new cover. This was a quick and easy sewing project which gives a fresh look to the seat.

If we can get a sunny weekend in the next few weeks I will give the timber a coat of some natural timber oil .

Entry Garden - First impression

Project #1 - This is the front garden near the entrance gate, the area was overgrown, even though this garden wasn't that bad it looked neglected and was a mish mash of different plants.

We removed alot of the plants and the after photo is below.  I found the terracotta lantern in the back yard, bought some solar garden lights and had the local landscape supplier deliver some white rocks.

The palm tree (Golden Cane) in the middle of the garden has some growing to do and in time this will be a tidy and low maintenance garden.

I think this looks much neater than before and this project took more of our manual labour than money to complete !

Getting Started

Welcome to my journey to renovate, decorate, and organise my renovators delight.

The name Seaside Boutique comes from my love of those beachside shops which I could just look around for hours.  I want my home to look and have the feel of what I describe as a "Seaside Boutique".

I also love crisp lines and parisian finishes, so you never know what combination of all these styles will bring to my home.

Each week I will share with you my latest project.

I am going to include before and after photos of my projects and also include photos and links to ideas that I like and may also inspire you.

I will also be creating some of my own decorating pieces by sewing, stencilling and painting.

Above is one of the first photos I took when we moved in from our Pontoon.

Above is a photo of the pool area, at this stage we will not be doing any work in this area other than some pot plants.

Enjoy.
